Often people refer to light from natural sources, like the sun, as being natural and artificial light as coming from something run by electricity...
Another way of thinking about what is natural and artificial was put forward in a PhD proposal by Federico Favero, a lecturer at KTH University in Sweden, at the CIE congress last week. Here he proposed that we should think more of the effect on us, if this is natural or otherwise and to take a more holistic approach. In this way light sourced from daylight and electric sources can work together to create better natural spaces.
Trying to make electric and daylight work together is not new, but what are your experiences in using them together in a really harmonious and natural way?
